Trust TV - What's it about?

Wednesday, 8 September 2010

Did you see Jason Scotland receiving the Player of the Year Trophy at last seasons’ Awards Dinner or Luke James unveiling the bust of his dad Robbie down at the Liberty Stadium ? Did you hear the Jackarmy in full voice as the Swans lifted the League One Trophy down at Brighton or Roberto Martinez speaking about the value of signing foreign players?

Well if you had watched the various editions of SwansTrust TV on the Supporters Trust website you will have seen all these and more. SwansTrust TV was introduced towards the end of last season and whilst still very much in its development stage aims to bring you the supporters news and views on the Swans and the Supporters Trust.

Alan Lewis, the Trust board member with responsibility for SwansTrust TV, is optimistic about the future.

“ Its early days yet and the first few editions have been very much about testing the concept and assessing if there is a demand for this sort of regular feature. We do not have professional equipment and the whole thing is very much a low budget production for the time being. In fact we only had a camera through the generous sponsorship of Visions Creative ( Supporters Director, Huw Cooze’s company).

“The initial programmes have been well received and as we develop greater expertise production standards will improve and audiences will hopefully increase further. We will be aiming to get exclusive footage to share with fans and may well provide specific editions available to Trust members only. I am sure there is a place for this sort of communication and am delighted that the Trust is fully supporting this initiative.”

Our latest edition - August SwansTrustTV featured some informal footage of the Swans fans following the team on the pre-season tour of Spain and a further edition is planned for later in the month with a look ahead to our Championship season.
