I first joined the Supporters Trust at their launch in 2001 during the times of crisis caused by the cockney that everyone refers to as an Aussie. At the time, I was a fledgling webmaster type person (!) on www.jackarmy.net. Since that time, we know that the club has grown stronger and I have spent many hundreds of hours in that time in contact with Swans fans all over through the web site.
In 2005, a change in job circumstances meant that I was to spend much more time at home instead of 2/3 nights a week working away and therefore I decided that I could devote time and energy to helping the Supporters Trust. Therefore I stood for election and here I am.
As Media Officer it is my job to ensure that the Trust communicates effectively with it's members through any medium that we can use and certainly in this regard I would like to hear from any fan out there who has ideas on how we can improve in that regard.
Who is your all time favourite Swans player? I started watching the Swans in the late 1970s and my earliest hero was without a doubt Curt. A man who had it all and I honestly do dread to think how much attention the media would pay to someone like him in this day and age. I do have to say though that Curt is run very closely by Robbie James.
What is your favourite Swans moment? For many years I felt that Preston in 1981 could never be beaten and then I remember that April day in 1994 when we triumphed at Wembley. That I thought was as good as it would get but that was easily topped in 2003 when the referee blew the final whistle to signal out survival in the football league. Relief after so much torture.
And aside from off the pitch problems, your worst Swans memory on the pitch? How easy is this one to answer? Going 2-1 down in that same game against Hull. Never have I felt so sick at a football match.
If you weren't a Swans fan you would be..........? Considerably less stressed and probably with considerably more hair. Well, maybe the latter is a slight fib but I honestly cannot imagine not being a Swans fan - it's destiny isn't it?
